We are at the tail end of June, and summer is official, wow! Daryl Shawn has come through to ease us into another summer with a new top ten of the best in fingerstyle guitar! The world is beginning to open up after crisis and the music is flowing! Thanks Daryl for helping to keep us going and entertained during this time and all the rest of the year!

"The most exciting playlist on Spotify" reloaded again for a great Monday morning! "This Week in Fingerstyle" curated by Daryl Shawn is where you'll find the absolute best that true "Indie" has to offer in the world of fingerstyle! Daryl does all the selecting of the tunes, I just make a few comments. Put your headphones on or AirPods in and disappear into these wonderful sounds as we check out what gems Daryl found for us this week! "This Week" now has over 500 "Followers" enjoying this weekly treat!

First up is "Lattice of Light" by the incredibly talented "world fusion" artist Mathew Joseph in a duo with the equally talented multi-instrumentalist Fin Moon (John Clark's second moniker)! A bright spot in my Monday morning! Both these artists can and do "wow" you with everything they do and this collaboration is a treat! Sink into the rhythm, the melody and the sweet way it makes you feel! Nicely done!

"Mad World" by Liad Abraham is simply to die for! A cover that leaves you breathless at the sheer skill and power that Liad manages to control as if squeezing it out drop by drop for two minutes that seem like only a few seconds! Just about as pure as you can get from a guitar piece!

"Day 9" from Jürgen Saalmann is from his album telling through music the story of his trip through Scandinavia! Just delightful pieces that make for a fine musical excursion. Be sure to check out all "Days 1-10". Thanks for entertaining us with this unique "dialogue" Jürgen!

"Moulain (Guitar Version)" is Steven Vranken's wonderful piano tune played on nylon string guitar by Lunng Fern, one of my favorite guitarists! This arrangement worked really well and gave me another chance to hear Lunng's guitar work interpreting Steven's beautiful composition: so well done!

"From This Place" by Tommy Berre is recognizable from the first note as Tommy! A beautiful sound that Tommy has perfected over the last few years and a composition that you can sink your teeth into or just lie back, relax and enjoy! I quite simply love what Tommy does with a guitar!

"IDK You Yet" by Tambo is a wonderful cover of the sweet song by Alexander 23. Fantastic!

"Hoping For A Miracle" by Whalebone has a beautiful touching story behind the music and the emotion is palpable! Beautiful!

"For The Grace of God" by Bill Russell stands out for the exquisite guitar skill as well as the beautiful composition. Just beautifully done at all levels, thank you Bill!

"Nowhere Man" by Kurt Lanham is immediately familiar as the Beatles cover. I love this interpretation of this classic from my formative years!

And finally "Whispers of Summer" by Ken Verheecke who manages better than anyone I know to make me feel like I'm walking on & in the clouds! If you are ever feeling down, lonely or just a little sad, put on Ken's work and you'll be lifted up! "Whispers of Summer" is signature Ken Verheecke!

And don't stop there! Remember that all the past selections follow the new top ten starting with Alan Shoesmith's "Idle Sea"!

Daryl Shawn, thank you again for making my Monday mornings a very special and exciting part of every week!

And that's it for another "This Week in Fingerstyle" by Daryl Shawn who every week puts together "the most exciting playlist on Spotify"!

Remember to "Follow/Heart/Like" the playlist that Daryl Shawn so painstakingly creates every week!
