"The most exciting playlist on Spotify" reloaded again for a great Monday morning! "This Week in Fingerstyle" curated by Daryl Shawn is where you'll find the absolute best that true "Indie" has to offer in the world of fingerstyle! Daryl does all the selecting of the tunes, I just make a few comments. Put your headphones on or AirPods in and disappear into these wonderful sounds as we check out what gems Daryl found for us this week!

First up is "Fuel" by one of the undisputed world masters of fingerstyle Tommy Emmanuel! This is easily a substitute for several of those usual monday morning cups of coffee! Wow!

"Old Towne" by Ken Veerheecke is quintessential Ken with it's sweet melody and lilting phrases that are always uplifting and refreshing like a beautiful soft rain shower! Always inspirational with his music, Ken creates another beautiful piece!

"Reflections" by Nylon Wings (David Westin) and world fusion master Mathew Joseph is a wonderful duet by two crazy-good artists. This one sort of sits like a beautiful reflection pool allowing you to really contemplate or even meditate. Relaxing, reflective and restorative, a tremendous piece!

"Ana" is perhaps the most unusual piece Daryl found for "this week". This is not your typical fingerstyle piece! What a treat by Derek Gripper! An unusual line in the mid-register that follows a very tight pattern and renders a sonic wonder! Totally captivating!

"The Bridge at Mostar" by Chris Chambers celebrates the rebuilt 16th century bridge at Mostar Bosnia-Herzegvina. Like the bridge itself this wonderful piece captures centuries of culture and hope. Tremendous work!

"Honolulu" by Basil Wahn reflects on a trip to Honolulu and totally captures the laid-back feel of the Hawaiian evenings! The perfect piece for mid-to-late evenings on the lanai watching the sun fade into the ocean (and I know that feeling well!). Mahalo Basil!

"Ear Fields" by Dimitris Korontzis is a lovely layered-guitar piece featuring slide guitar over the structure. Really great guitar work that pleases from beginning to end! Well done Dimitris!

"Hints of Spain" by Charlie Wilks is unusual with its steel-string hints of spanish flavors more often served up on nylon. A tremendous sound that will carry you away!

"The Other Way Round" by Ulli Boegershausen is flawless and beautiful (as Ulli always manages!) Nothing to hide behind here as Ulli lets each note thrill with tremendous sustain and perfect execution. A lovely melody and all around a piece that requires skilled fingers to pull this one off! Always thrilling to hear Ulli play!

"See You When You Appear" by Dylan Ryche closes out the new top ten with a mind-blowing composition by one of today's fingerstyle masters. When many of today's artists turn up the intensity and speed, Dylan Ryche slows it down here and shows us a total focus on some beautiful sounds. I love this piece!

And don't stop there! Remember that all the past selections follow the new top ten starting with Mark Kroos' lovely rendition of the the Beatles' classic "Come Together!"

Daryl Shawn, thank you again for making my Monday mornings a very special and exciting part of every week!

And that's it for another "This Week in Fingerstyle" by Daryl Shawn who every week puts together "the most exciting playlist on Spotify"!

Remember to "Follow/Heart/Like" the playlist that Daryl Shawn so painstakingly creates every week!
