"The most exciting playlist on Spotify" reloaded again for a great Monday morning! "This Week in Fingerstyle" curated by Daryl Shawn! Daryl does all the selecting of the tunes, I just make a few comments. Put your headphones on or AirPods in and disappear into these wonderful sounds as we check out what gems Daryl found for us this week on this last monday of the decade!

First up is "Cheap Thrills" by Cim Frode! Wow, what a great way to end the decade! This one has some cool surprises for you. Cim is just fantastic as always!

"Somewhere in Paris" by Henrik Janson adds some strings and it fits right in for a New Year's celebration anywhere! Movie theme for sure! Love it!

"Warmth" by Agustin Amigo! His newest and part of the "Slow and Peaceful Guitar" album that Agustin has just released. One of today's most prolific artists and every song that Agustin delivers is a gem! This one is a tremendous way to cap off a year that must have exhausted Agustin, but there is no hint of any exhaustion in this song!

"Toward Dusk" by Maneli Jamal! Few artists can compare with Maneli and this song is truly beautiful with layered guitar that shines brilliantly like the evening star!

"Lake Solitude" by Mathew Joseph is gentle and reflective just like Mathew himself! A tremendous piece for the end of the decade it gives some time for thoughtful moments and a mix of cultures at a time when we could all use some exposure to the beauty that cultures other than the one outside our own door bring us if we take the time to engage. No better way to do this than through music brought by one of it's great world ambassadors! Thank you Mathew!

"Tango in Space" is beautiful! Jürg Kindle shows us again that structure is a beautiful thing when presented through the hands of a master who understands the nuances of the genre! Always thrilled when Jürg Kindle gives us another piece!

"Rear View" by A Jackson Sound (Andy Jackson) is another reflective piece that starts out haunting, like we forgot something important. It builds, lets us ponder for a while and almost resolves with the knowledge that whatever it is we forgot, it will have to wait for another day. Nicely done!

"Mountain" by Realizer and Moonseed is tremendous. A touch of Appalachia, a hint of jazz and it just works oh so well! Scintillating and intoxicating, it's fantastic!

"Autumn's Melody" by Alan Gogoll is Alan displaying his melody prowess and slowing it down for us to truly enjoy this master. Really beautiful Alan!

"At Peace" is another reflective piece by another prolific master of the nylon string and the sweet melody! A perfect end to a year in which Tommy Berre has treated us with sweet melodies and sweet guitar every week! I salute and thank you Tommy for a year in music that has made me a better artist and a happier person!

And that completes the new top ten for this week and this decade! You will now find all the past "This Week in Fingerstyle" music following this week's new ten so you can enjoy all that this wonderful playlist has brought to the world of fingerstyle! Enjoy!

Daryl Shawn, thank you again for making my Monday mornings a very special and exciting part of every week!
