"The most exciting playlist on Spotify" reloaded again for a great Monday morning! "This Week in Fingerstyle" curated by Daryl Shawn! Put your headphones on or AirPods in and disappear into these wonderful sounds!

First up is "The Oak Tree" by the great Agustin Amigo! This one is beautiful (as is everything Agustin writes) and full of peace, strength & presence. The title is perfectly apropos!

"Eye of the Tiger" was the greatest motivation song on the radio when it was released while I was in college. Now almost 40 years later, it still gets me on my feet and Glenn Roth has again delivered!

"Strain" by Elson Complex is a "minimalism" piece that could easily have been written by Daryl Shawn himself. This one really works with its repetitive, enchanting rhythym!

"Flight of the Snow Geese" is a brand new one by one of my favorite Celtic artists, Nik Davies! There is a driving Celtic beat with a treble that does bring visions of snow geese! Just delightful!

"It Could Have Been" by Ulli Boegershausen, is sweet and melancholic and hits that spot in life of those that have enough years to allow quiet reflection on the things that could have been, but that reflection is not really sad, just musings, happy with what has been and where you have ended up. Really beautiful!

"Treasure" by Matt Harp is unmistakable Bruno Mars! What a great cover! Just happy music! Well done Matt!

"Wonderful Tonight" by the talented Will Moore is a brave and successful tackling of the Eric Clapton hit. It takes confidence to cover one of guitar's icons and Will nails this one! Bravo!

"Mountain Brook" is Mathew Joseph gifting us again with some of his signature "world fusion"! Mathew has such depth in his music that spans cultures totally foreign to me. The result is music that I could never write, but am so glad that Mathew did! Wonderful!

"You're the Inspiration" by Georg Erixon is a nylon string sweet and haunting rendition of the Chicago hit. Beautiful!

And to close out this week Daryl Shawn himself brings a smile to my face with his version of "Away in a Manger" from his just released "Holly Days, Vol. 1" album. In the streaming world where many artists are almost frenetic in their new music release pace Daryl releases infrequently, but crafts each track with perfection. "Away in a Manger" is "pickin' on the front porch" guitar that brings a chill to my spine with its raw emotion. Literally tears to my eyes exquisite! Thank you Daryl! This whole album will be #1 on my charts this Holiday Season!

And that completes the new top ten for this week! You will now find all the past "This Week in Fingerstyle" music following this week's new ten so you can enjoy all that this wonderful playlist has brought to the world of fingerstyle! Enjoy!

Daryl Shawn, thank you again for making my Monday mornings a very special and exciting part of every week!

And that's it for another "This Week in Fingerstyle" by Daryl Shawn who every week puts together "the most exciting playlist on Spotify"!
