"The most exciting playlist on Spotify" reloaded again for a great Monday morning! "This Week in Fingerstyle" curated by Daryl Shawn! Put your headphones on or AirPods in and disappear into these wonderful sounds!

First up is "Förgätmigej" by the incredible Cim Frode! Every once in a while an artist stands out above the rest and Cim Frode does that. His slow pieces have finesse and a silky sweetness that brings both tears & a smile. I could listen to Cim all day long! "Förgätmigej" is beyond beautiful and you must give it a listen today!

"Tendinitis" is by Zar who started out busking on famous Grafton Street in Dublin. Tremendous playing with an energy that could undoubtedly inflict tendinitis on anyone attempting to imitate this powerful player! This one may be a substitute for that morning caffeine! Well done!

"Sun In Her Eyes" by Lance Allen & Tim Thompson is soft, sweet and beautiful. Two incredible talents combining in a flowing, melodic musical dance that could easily be the music for a beautiful ballet! Wonderful stuff!

"O Come, O Come Emmanuel" is John Standefer's jazzy version of a holiday classic. Just simply amazing what John managed to do with this piece. This one is sure to populate the holiday playlist genre and beyond. Incredible!

"Comfort in Melody" is a collaboration by Edy Hafler & August Flendahl that fits squarely in that beautiful, sweet nylon string plane. Full, rich and lush! Perfect listening for any occasion!  Go Edy & August!

"Refuge & Strength" by Ken Verheecke has us again in that zone that Ken seems to live in. His music always manages to tap into that inspirational place and soars while staying grounded in a way that keeps us thinking we can all achieve better. "Refuge & Strength" is one to play for a needed pick me up when "the melancholies" hit. Beautiful Ken!

"Gangsta's Paradise" by Luca Stricagnoli is mind-blowing! Not just for his use of every effect possible on a guitar, but for its pulsating, driving beat that  leaves your skull feeling raw but knowing it was worth it and you'll do it again soon! Wow!

"Sakura" by Daria Semikina pulls us slowly back to a beautiful wooded landscape for a deep breath of fresh, tantalizing, cool air! This one has wings  and depth that lead you into a contemplative place of deep beauty and almost transcendence!

"Assyrian Mourners" by the phenomenal Jürg Kindle is not a "background piece". This is a deeply powerful world-society piece that forces us to internalize the atrocities of a world where we often go through our lives without having to confront the agony of the pain, grief and horror that go on in the war-torn and ravaged parts of this small globe. Listen to this piece twice, with the knowledge that it is written about and for the devastated, innocent people of Syria desperately trying to just survive and get through another hour, perhaps another day and I guarantee you will be in tears.

"Over The Rainbow" by Casper Esmann is much needed after Jürg's heartbreaker. There is good in this world and this smiling ambassador, Casper Esmann, with his continual & upbeat approach to music & life lets us know that there is a rainbow and beauty beyond it! Thank you for your talent, insight and incredibly hard work Casper!

And that completes the new top ten for this week! You will now find all the past "This Week in Fingerstyle" music following this week's new ten so you can enjoy all that this wonderful playlist has brought to the world of fingerstyle! Enjoy!
