Matt C. White is an enigma with musical talent that exhibits as many sides as a Rubik’s cube! At the still young age of 30, this multi-instrumentalist musician, who is also a talented graphic artist, has a list of musical bands and groups that include Realizer, Grandpa Jack, Dead Seconds, Berma, Blue Fold and Open Palm and collaborations with Charles Ellsworth, Tommy Berre, Denis Turbide, Matt Tondut, Kyle McEvoy, Antarctic Wastelands, Anna Wilhelm, and The Field Tapes! This is one busy and talented man!

Having grown up in North Carolina, music is in Matt’s blood. With first musical influences including Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Eric Clapton, Matt has gone far beyond these blues and rock legends to find his own vast space that now spans from hard psychedelic rock to ambient and folk. And Matt doesn’t just dabble, he masters each genre with the accolades to prove it! His debut album “Wallow in The Hollow” of only a year ago demonstrated his singer-songwriter prowess and was described by “bigtakeover.com” as “soulful blues-rock and folk goodness”.  This debut album was performed, recorded, produced and mixed by Matt. A tremendous album, but this proved to be just the lighting of the fuse!

The “Realizer” project has provided “streaming” success after “Bathe” was added to Spotify’s wildly popular “Peaceful Guitar” playlist. And from there it has been a steady stream of both the dreamy guitar of “Realizer” and the more folk/singer-songwriter work of Matt C. White. From “The Rose Door”, with Charles Ellsworth, through “Lie With Me” and “Oath” to the latest “Alberta”, Matt continues to get more comfortable with the decision to make music the primary career and the quality of his work establishes him in the same category as the big artists of the 60’s & 70’s. Matt has shown that he can “hang” with the best of any, and amazingly all, of these genres!

From the full album “Wallow in the Hollow”, to the latest “Alberta”, Matt has no “filler” material. Each song can stand on its own and deserves the spotlight! An amazing feat in a world bursting at the seams with music!

Whether you love folk, singer-songwriter, dreamy ambient guitar or hard psychedelic rock, give Matt’s work a long listen, be entertained, amazed and encouraged that music has not yet seen its halcyon days: Matt C. White is here!
