"The most exciting playlist on Spotify" reloaded again for a great Monday morning! "This Week in Fingerstyle" curated by Daryl Shawn! Put your headphones on or AirPods in and disappear into these wonderful sounds!

First up is "Electric Soul" by the dynamo duo of Rodrigo Y Gabriela! This husband & wife guitar duo turned the music world on its head in 2006 with the eponymous "Rodrigo Y Gabriela" album and haven't looked back. They may have done more for the resurgence of the nylon string guitar in popular music that anyone else on the planet. It doesn't get any better than the music that these two make!

"Tiento Antiguo" = Wow! Daryl Shawn has again astounded me with another piece that has escaped my ears until now. Have to check out the Rodrigo library ASAP! Unbelievably beautiful! And I'm "Following" Dale Kavanaugh now as well,  it's obvious to me that I have much catching up to do with Dale Kavanaugh's work! Just Wow! Got months of new listening ahead of me now!

"The Zotz Walk" by Joel Saunders, is unique and beautiful with a beat, nice melody, and a happy pace! Really fun piece that you have to call "funky free jazz"! Love this Joel Saunders, really well done!

Jürg Kindle can play anything, and when he does, he grabs your attention whether you were intending to listen or not. "Bolero" has long been one of my favorite pieces and Jürg Kindle does this wonderful piece more than justice! Not a two minute piece, this classic has plenty of time to develop, open up and crescendo! Just tremendous Jürg Kindle!

Ken Smith of the UK hits another home run with "Valetta". Perfect sound with that romantic, slightly melancholy feel that hits the sweet spot for me! Ken is one of the many musicians who put a music career on hold for decades until Spotify and world-wide streaming provided a platform to shine. Ken has grabbed the opportunity with both hands and is flying high with the music he is putting out both on the guitar and piano! "Valetta" is a truly beautiful piece that will brighten your day or evening and put a smile on your face!

"It Will Get Better" by the uniquely prolific and talented Tommy Berre is another of Tommy's "perfect" pieces! There are just so many of Tommy's "perfect pieces" that it becomes difficult to keep track but it would be a shame to miss any one of them. This one truly sings like a languid late summer dusk where the sun slowly fades and the night opens up to untold wonders! Full of hope and promise of better things to come: wow, if Tommy's title is alluding to his music, I'm not sure how it would be possible, but I can't wait!!!!!

"For Mary Oliver" by Ross Hammond Poly Varghese is wonderful and from a musical place that many of us never get to visit. You just have to sit, listen, enjoy and let it take you to places you may have never knew existed. Wonderful!

"La Danza Infernale" by Gionata Prinzo! Another totally unique and captivating talent that is creating music that opens up into another place. Off the map good!

"September" is Jon Hart's cover of "Earth, Wind & Fire"'s hit that has a wonderful "start of autumn" feel with a jazzy beat! Jon does this one so well that it is almost a brand new song in his hands. I love this take on a classic that remakes it in a way that thrills! Tremendous job Jon Hart!

Finally, two of the best guitar masters around, Ulli Boegershausen Agustín Amigó, put together another masterpiece in their version of the traditional "The Parting Glass"! Traditional Celtic tunes have some of the sweetest and most enduring melodies that music has to offer and Ulli Boegershausen & Agustín Amigó's phrasing and delivery on this one is perfection!

Daryl Shawn, thank you again for making my Monday mornings a very special and exciting part of every week!
